Thanks, Andreas, I take it that it is not an easy job of creating a 64-bit boot CD for network installation. I have just experienced that 9.2 installation with CD1 on an Opteron box will only bring up the 32-bit mode. Is there a reason for that, and a way round this other than using a dvd drive?
That's correct. The CDs are only 32-bit x86. You really have to use the DVD for a 64-bit installation... Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj SUSE Linux AG, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126
