The Dial-Up of the released DVD version of Suse 9.1 Professiional 64 bit
must be updated. Otherwise it will not work.

I had a similar problem with my external serial ISDN terminal adapter.
Although it is working like a standard serial modem there was no connection
possible. 

I had to boot Windows XP 64Bit Edition to be able to connect to the internet
and download the required patch from Suse;-)
