Hi Folks-- I'm running SuSE 9.1/64 on an Athlon64 3200, with the 2.6.4-52 kernel. There nothing unusual I can think of about my hardware. I've installed VMware to 32-bit distros many times and never had any trouble. I have version 4.5.2 of Workstation. Anyway, the RPM installs fine, and vmware-config,pl runs fine, but when I go to execute the program it tanks out, saying, Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate loadable module in module_path: "libqtpixmap.so", ...along with a usurper box that tells me to run vmware-config.pl again, but that doesn't fix it. Now, I know I have libqtpixmap installed. I can only think of a few things that might be the problem; maybe I shouldn't have used the RPM of VMware, or I need to update my kernel, or it fails because I installed it from a user account using su rather than logging in as root, or maybe I should've installed it before running YOU. Any ideas? I see where a few others here have it running and functioning perfectly, but unfortunately the message archives aren't searchable. It's my fondest wish to stop dual booting to W2K and move to Linux fulltime. Thanks! --Jerry Bookter
