I have a shuttle AMD64 system, same chipset, and mine works fine. (gigabit and sound). However, I had to install it from a network. so I used a boot CD (since I don;t have a DVD drive) and then had to load individual drivers, then point to a network install. I believe the module name was nforceth? or something like that. R. On Tue, 2004-07-20 at 15:45, Brad Bourn wrote:
I just put together a new board as well.
I didn't put SuSE on that board, however I noticed that it is a Gigabit network card that required relatively new drivers.
I don't remember, were there any linux drivers on the CD for the board?
B-)

I just installed SuSe 9.1 with the 2.6.5 kernel on a AMD64 machine with NVidia's NForce 3 chipset. The onboard lan does not seem to be recognized and it does not work. I read that the forcedeth module is already included in the 2.6.x kernels so what do I do to get it to work? Right now I plugged in spare PCI lan board.
thanks Matthijs (still pretty new to linux)
