I have running a Gigabyte K8VT800 Pro Board with Athlon 64 3000+ Newcastle (AX, CG-Stepping) and the CPU runs always on full speed.
I read this thread and found the info, that powernow-k8 does not yet support this CPU. Is this right?
Newcastle powernow should work with the latest 2.6.5 kernel from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/mantel/kernel-of-the-day/ Note however this is not a fully tested and supported kernel, use at your own risk. -Andi
