Newcastle powernow should work with the latest 2.6.5 kernel from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/mantel/kernel-of-the-day/
Am I right, that I only need this RPM:
ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/mantel/kernel- of-the-day/x86_64/kernel-default-2.6.5-7.69cvs20040607145541.x86_64.rpm>
I load this file onto my disk into /tmp. When I open this file with the Konqueror, the RPM-Viewer shows me the details and I can choose "Install with Yast".
When I do this, Yast asks for the DVD and installs again the DVD Kernel 2.6.4 but not the new 2.6.5-7.
Try:
rpm -Uhv
