I have always used nVidia. You'll hear people complain about certain
incompatabilites, however, I have always been able to get hardware
accelerated 3d on 3 heads ever since TNT/SuSE 6.1 days. For the 64 bit
system, make sure you use the driver from online_update (AFTER) all other
updates (kernel gets updated, requiring re-install of nvidia driver).
