Hi Juan,
Take a look: http://www.newsfactor.com/perl/story/21799.html
hm, after reading e.g. this: "We started working with AMD before there was [an Opteron] chip," he said. "We were the only operating system at [the chip's] launch -- of any type -- available on 64-bit." I should probably have keep fighting with installing OpenSSI and OpenMosix on SuSE9... Well, wouldn't it be unlogical to propose both to the SuSE and AMD guys to make some *minimal* efforts to help OpenSSI and OpenMosix groups to saddle the AMD64/SuSE9 couple? I mean, look, to put things simplistic: Q: What is the best theoretical solution for clustering with transparent/implicit parallelism? A: AMD64 + SUSE9 + OpenMOSIX/OpenSSI. Q: Does this theoretical solution work? A: Not really, more practical is ia32 + RedHat/Debian + OpenMOSIX/OpenSSI bahh... If they could help to do this, they could boost their sales with slogan: "the best cluster is SSI-cluster, the best SSI-cluster is AMD64 + SUSE9 + OpenMOSIX/OpenSSI!" :) -- Valery
