I recently purchased 2 dual Opteron computers, with large SATA drives, DVD burners, etc. They came with SuSE 9.0 for AMD64 installed. Very nice! But I am having some problems burning a dvd. I have a SONY DRU-530A DVD/RW. I am using k3b, and taking the default settings. The program writes about 12% of a 3.7GB iso data file. (Sometimes it is about 5% if I am doing some other minor things at the same time.) Then it says that it is flushing the cache which "may take some time." In fact, the time is apparently infinite (at least an hour). The 'cancel' button does not really cancel. I have to find and kill processes. But then I can no longer eject the dvd with the dvd button. The only way to eject it is to power off the computer; reboot is not sufficient. I am using DVD+RW media (Sony), which I think is fine for my unit. Help and advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
