I am still trying to move functional items from my venerable old RH 7.3 system to the new 9.0-64 system. There are a couple of things that I haven't found answers to: 1. I could execute my own programs at boot time at the end of the RC list by editing the /etc/rc.local file in RH7.3. I see that Suse uses /etc/init.d for this type of thing but is there a similar file/function? I have cron to run and game servers to start up... 2. I have gotten "sudo" to work without a password by using the "visudo" program & this works fine. However, I still have to enter a password for plain ole "su". I have tried by Linux and IRIX tricks with .rhosts but this has not worked. How do I get "su" to work without a password (no, I don't want to remove the root password). 3. Using the gnome desktop, I am used to seeing the current paths as the terminal "titles". On this version, I just see "untitled" and using the menu to set it does not even work. Any ideas? OK, there was 3, not a couple (2). Sue me! Oh, BTW, I got my Asus K8V sound working, - some kind soul on here just suggested setting all of the volume controls to 100% - that worked! Thanks in advance. ......Chuck
