The problem was solved.
I noticed that the slim drive `kit' works fine with the MSWindow
box. So, I looked at the hardware of the kit.
The point was the connector changer between the slim drive
itself and the 40P ide connector side. After the New Year's
holiday, I got a little bit sophisticated changer, and now
it works with my linux box.
