Hello Carlos,

I will copy the questions up here to answer them :)

* What have you done already for openSUSE?

I have recommended it for many people and recently I have started promoting it
as a platform for Java and Compilers disciplines that I teach at the
University. I have also contributed with a guide to make bluetooth work on
OpenSuse 11.1 and have posted many articles on my website
(www.paulomotta.pro.br) about OpenSuse and Linux.

* What are your plans for promoting openSUSE? Please tell us what you want to
do the next 6 months.

I have made a "virtual" install fest via the University's forum but I intend to
promote a presential install fest. I will try to get some sponsorship from the University
for that.

* Are you ready to start promoting openSUSE?

I am just on the verge of completing my PhD so, for this month I am a little
off-line, but besides that, I am ready

* What do you think is the best kept secret of openSUSE?

OpenSuse is the most distro that was able to put together easy-of-use and
stability, I really like the whole system. (Although some months ago I have
complained a lot about the repositories that were offline)

* Why do you love to do this?

Because I like to see open systems running and since I teach software
development I try to promote the idea that you need to either use open source
software and contribute with it or you should buy some licensed software but do
not use pirate copies!

* How did you start with Linux/openSUSE? What is your level of experience?

My first experience was back in 1997 when I first compiled the kernel of a
Slackware system, after that I have tried some stuff but at that time didn't
move exclusively. I still used it in a 50/50 proportion with Windows most
during the 2002-2005 period when I was completing my Master, and then in 2006 I
began moving exclusively to OpenSuse which happened in 2007. I consider myself
an experienced user although I prefer the GUI interface over the text.

Best regards
Paulo

Greetings from Rio de Janeiro Brazil!

I have configured all the steps listed on the Ambassadors page and I am willing
to be part of the team.

I've been using OpenSuSE regularly as main OS since 2007 and after helping
promoting informally I would like to become official :)

Cheers
