Hi Guys
I just had a talk with Jos and S Kemter and they have provided some suggestions which we should take into consideration as they are worth noting in my opinion
- Ambassador Lead Team should be changed to Ambassador Welcome Team
That is ok with me.
- This team should have a max of 2 members. Aj can decide who they are among the volunteers who asked to be in the team
I know that the work is not so much so 2 people can make it,but my opinion still stands for a small team and because as Buddhika said 'the team can get the responsibility then the process get tiny and nice'.If it is going to be a 2 member team I am not interesting in participating since there are people more capable from me for that job and the reason I wanted to participate in that team was to take my level of knowledge on that part a step further by co-operating with all you guys.
I think the team spoke for themselves :)
- We should not focus our strength on just this part however lucrative it sounds there are other issues too.
Well,my opinion is that the part, where people want to become Ambassadors is one of the most important procedures in our community. It is the Starting point for someone who wants to interact with the openSUSE project and evolving that part is never enough.Apparently some of you see the importance of that, some others don't.Do what thou wilt and read 'openSUSE:Community references' and openSUSE:Strategy Community Statement at the wiki, again.
3.1 We should find better ways to get events publicised, do some
research and stuff like that
Yes we should,I totally agree with you.
3.2 There are a lot of jobs in our Marketing Portal which can be
carried out some of which include becoming liasons, which falls under ambassadorship imo
Take a look at that I just created and please let me know your opinion about it http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Events#Organize_a_booth
Thanks a lot, a nice wiki write up :) I just bulletised all the points.
Opinions Guys
Regards Manu
