  [dist] change the way vgdisplay is invoked:
 - we could get float in return failing bash arithmetic on the following line
 - we get MB, but then pass MiB on creation (run out of disk space)
 - prefer output meant for machine parsing

  [dist] we've initialized fs for cache before mounting, but setting up worker 
lvs from scratch needs that too
