At the moment there is no English website for SuSE-Blinux, we are working on this. But there is a good English documentation included in the pakage. What exactly are you looking for? Do you only want to know what SuSE-Blinux can, witch brailledevices are supported etc.? Or do you want to know how to get SuSE-Blinux?
Second, can it be installed without sighted assistance?
Yes, this is posible with some brailledisplaies. It might work with your Alva Satelite, but Marco mensioned that there could be problems with the autodetection..., just try and let us know, we had no brailledevice to test it ;-). If the automatic detection really don't work during installation, install the system with sighted help. Its not difficult to setup SBL in to a installed system, you dont have to do many things to get it running and I / we can help you. Best regards and don' shy asking if you want to know more about SBL ;-)!
