Re: [zypp-devel] smart and zypper repo syncro

Another solution would be to patch smart to recognize .repo extension, or ZYpp to recognize .channel extension. Then one could set smart channel path to ZYpp's one or viceversa.
well, as I said, there is a way to have zypper repos converted in smart channels, but I cannot find the reversed... :(
I still don't understand why you need to "convert" the repositories, they are the same format!. The only thing you need to do is to share them. That is, point ZYpp to smart repos or viceversa, which you can do with symlinks. If you need full sharing, you can automate the creation of these symlinks. Either smart sees smart channels and ZYpp sees also smart channels Or ZYpp sees ZYpp repos and smart sees ZYpp repos. Of course, if we add the ability for ZYpp to recognize the .channel extension too, then it would be as easy as change zypp.conf reposdir = /etc/zypp/repos.d to reposdir = /etc/smart/channels But for your needs, symlinking would be enough, and if you want to automate it, you can use UNIX power for it. -- Duncan Mac-Vicar P. - Engineering Manager, YaST SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: zypp-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: zypp-devel+help@opensuse.org
