[yast-devel] WebYaST: users and groups
Hi webyast hackers! Today I submited groups selection / deselection implementation into git, see https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=580455 There are 3 issues I'd like to ask you for help: 1 - it doesn't work with Internet Explorer 8 (which is supported browser). Could anyone experienced find where the problem is? 2 - when one of the lists is too long it looks very bad. Any idea how to solve it? (scrollbars, align into more columns, ...) 3 - also some visible distinction between "all groups" and "selected groups" would be nice. I'll add labels there of course ;-) Thank you, Michal -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yast-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: yast-devel+help@opensuse.org

Please open up a bug report for this. Garrett should be able to help.
2 - when one of the lists is too long it looks very bad. Any idea how to solve it? (scrollbars, align into more columns, ...)
For this we need a generic solution. Rails offers a couple of 'paginate' extensions. Klaus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yast-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: yast-devel+help@opensuse.org

SLMS uses exactly this: config.gem 'mislav-will_paginate', :version => '~> 2.3.6', :lib => 'will_paginate', :source => 'http://gems.github.com' Easy to understand, easy to use. Example: @subscriptions = Subscription.paginate :all, :page => params[:page], :conditions => conditions, :order => order Bye Lukas -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.12 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iD8DBQFLfBhgVSqMdRCqTiwRAtAgAJ42Uay1mYrAmh6pexJvTfvJEdhowwCfRLRR y6F4GnafZwyoJ3pydTTUzsg= =cZ7Q -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yast-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: yast-devel+help@opensuse.org

Thanks, but no. This is more about css layout than 'paging'. This should be solved just on client side without rails Bye, Michal -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yast-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: yast-devel+help@opensuse.org

Huh ? Please explain. My impression was that you're looking for a solution to display many users/groups. I'm looking for solution to display many groups (dynamically) in more columns than one. They're in one column now and it doesn't look nice. Bye, Michal -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yast-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: yast-devel+help@opensuse.org
