Hi, Yes, most of the YaST module are still in the "Adding Features" mode instead of just "Maintenance" mode. However we have a lot of features to do, etc., so the best solution is always to file an enhancement request to bugzilla. Sometimes a research among other users if they would like to have such feature too could help. Sometime, writing directly to the maintainer/developer of the module about a wanted feature is also welcome (but it depends ;)) Bye Lukas -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.4-svn0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFHF7+sVSqMdRCqTiwRArKNAJ9/yiDLq0yeHpNbo/KTtqtE42zJcACeJ9l0 6b5t4oe5crxzwkLTG7Y+dY4= =JkV3 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yast-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: yast-devel+help@opensuse.org

Hi Lukas,
What to do with this? https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=299625
Hi, That enhancement seems to take more than hours to implement and in such case, we should use a FATE tool - a database of wanted features to be selected by the product/project management to be implemented. It's not just about "adding one more button somewhere", partitioner, as it already is, seems to be a bit overcrowded by buttons and functionality. It maybe just needs to think more before the implementation and it's also connected with another wanted features for the partitioner (e.g., redesign). Unfortunately, FATE is not (yet) publicly accessible. It's a developer's job to write such FATE request based on enhancements they find in bugzilla. You'll have to wait for the result, I'm afraid. Anyway, it's not a catch (22) as it's written in that particular enhancement/comment#7. Thomas just didn't explicitly write that he had transformed it to FATE by himself. Bye Lukas

Thanks for explanation. ...

Sincerely, what would you think in my position. Bug was closed/resolved as invalid with comment 4. (I still don't understand how enhancement can be invalid.) I can imagine that Thomas was busy at the time (10.3 testing), but a bit more verbosity will save me a lot of search. I went trough announcement, project, factory lists and openSUSE wiki, but couldn't find anything about FATE being accessible for users. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yast-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: yast-devel+help@opensuse.org

I've reopened the enhancement request (bugzilla) to have it closed either LATER or WONTFIX rather than INVALID. I hope Thomas is not going to send a commando to 'make my face nicer' :))) ;) Just kidding Lukas
