Thanks for the reply and thank you for sharing your fork for inspiration.

I'm not experienced at all with Uyuni's code and git tree, but from what I could see from your commits [on your fork], you modded Uyuni to add pretty much full support for a third party cloud Linux Distro.
I saw you added support for stuff like package repos, deploy instructions, etc. Really cool work!
In regards to AIX I was aiming for something way lower, all I aspired to achieve was to have AIX integrated to Uyuni's Salt so I can have some automations and configuration states managed from one central Salt Master.

From a legal and usage standpoint, if the required adjustments are made, I should be fine, right?

Hello list, first post.

Given that IBM provides Salt packages for AIX [1], including salt-minion and salt-ssh, would AIX work as a Salt minion (or Salt client as some Uyuni docs sometimes refer to) that connects to a Uyuni Salt master?

The reason why I'm asking this is because, on Saltstack, AIX usage is restricted to Saltstack Enterprise. Even downloading the minion package for AIX from Saltstack is restricted. [2]
So, I was wondering, would there be any usage related or legal related restrictions regarding running Salt minion on AIX, using the IBM provided packages, and a Uyuni Salt Master?
