Re: [SLE] usb hotplugging - your thoughts
Hello Eddie I am having problems with my pcmcia cards because they use hotplug, and I saw that you do a rchotplug restart How do you do that?, may be could be useful for my laptop
Hi All
Just wondered if anyone outthere has an explanation for the following:
Typically when I start my system, my usb adsl modem is not detected or driver loaded. If I do a "rchotplug restart"
everything is detected and works fine.
Adjusting the delay factor in the sysconfig file has no effect.
On the weekend, I bought a usb joystick. Now when I start my system everything is detected and functional.
Not a problem, would just like to understand what is going on. Has anyone got any thoughts?
TIA Eddie

I think you just issue exactly that command at a root prompt - can't think he meant anything else. Give it a go! HTH Fergus -- Fergus Wilde Chetham's Library Long Millgate Manchester M3 1SB Tel: +44 161 834 7961 Fax: +44 161 839 5797 http://www.chethams.org.uk
