Centrino Wireless card randomly stops
I have a new laptop with the Centrino (Intel 2100) wireless network card built in. Everything will work fine for a random length of time... and then all traffic over it will die. Pings and all. If I ifdown/ifup the card then it will work again. I have disabled the powersave through YAST thinking that might be the problem, but no luck... Any thoughts?

I assume you are using the ipw2100 driver. Go to ipw2100.sf.net and grab the newer driver and newer firmware. You will need the kernel-source package and to do a kernel build before you can compile the driver. There is a target that does just the minimal necessary for the driver build, but I have forgotten it already. HTH, Jeffrey
