[opensuse] Password Bug in new keepassx-0.3.0a-4.1.i586.rpm?
Listmates, I have downloaded and installed the new openSuSE rpm provided at: http://www.keepassx.org/downloads. The file is: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/SniperBeamer:/KeePassX/openS... The install went fine. However, I could not open my database using the password and keyfile. The error returned was: The following error occured while opening the database: Hash test failed. The key is wrong or the file is damaged. Removing the checkmark from the "Use Password AND Key File" checkbox allowed the file to open fine. Evidently, the 3.0 install will not use the password from the 2.2x install. Is there a setting somewhere related to the hash? Or, is this a problem with the rpm? -- David C. Rankin, J.D., P.E. You can cure the problem by opening your database using the key file only and then "Change Master Key" to reset the password. I guess this version is using a new algorithm. -- David C.
