I can send a file to /dec/lp0 with cat. If I try lpr text.file I get the answer lpr: connect: Connection refused jobs queued, but cannot start daemon lpc status says queuing is enabled printing is enabled 8 entries in spool area waiting for lp to become ready (offline) I have it with Suse 6.3 and 6.4. What is to be changed? If I try
lpr text.file
I get the answer
lpr: connect: Connection refused jobs queued, but cannot start daemon
lpc status says
queuing is enabled printing is enabled 8 entries in spool area waiting for lp to become ready (offline)
I have it with Suse 6.3 and 6.4. What is to be changed?

On SuSE 6.3 the lpr_old package was faulty. I'm not sure on 6.4. There is a updated lpr_old package on SuSE for 6.3 which will fix the problem for the 6.3 package.
