Hi All, On my SuSE 9.0 pc i have 2 network interface cards. One (eth0) has an dynamic ip-address and is connected to my speedtouch 510 adsl modem/router. The other one (eth1) has a fixed ip-address. In etc/sysconfig i can see that the bind address is 127.0.0.1:3000. What i want to do is to change the bind addres to all available network cards and if possible use the logging files not only in ntop but also in webalizer. To start with can someone tell me how to bind ntop to eth0? Thanks in advance Peter

The logfiles are in ethereal compatible format. I don't think that webalizer works with such files.

Have you tried to open the website for the results? There you can change the interface you want to examine. Provided you have started ntop with the option -M, of course.(^-^) http://your.domain:3000 -> Admin -> Switch NIC Sandy

Thanks for your reply but still i get a connection refused when i connect to http://127.0.0.1:3000 i can see the ntop interface. However when i try to access this from my windows pc i get a connection refused. In the bootup/shutdown files i have added the -M option. When i try to change in the sysconfig editor the ip address to 10.0.0.161 it says something like This ip address is outside te ip configuration do you really want to do this? And then i say no.... Yours Truly confused Peter

I never added the -m to my startup scripts. I edited /etc/sysconfig/ntop. I modified the lines near the top as: NTOPD_IFACE="eth0,eth1" NTOPD_PORT="3000" Then did an "rcntop restart". -- Louis Richards
