Hi list, I am trying to figure out what the version number of the viewcast osprey video and audio drivers that got loaded by yast during install are. media/video> lsmod | grep bt btaudio 34324 0 bt878 28808 0 bttv 214132 1 bt878 video_buf 39940 1 bttv firmware_class 27904 1 bttv compat_ioctl32 25216 1 bttv i2c_algo_bit 25608 1 bttv v4l2_common 26112 2 bttv,compat_ioctl32 btcx_risc 21512 1 bttv soundcore 27296 2 btaudio, snd ir_common 26884 1 bttv tveeprom 33040 1 bttv i2c_core 39808 4 bttv,i2c_algo_bit,i2c_i801,tveeprom videodev 27904 1 bttv is there a way to get the version number of the bt878 and the bttv modules listed here by lsmod? The latest tar ball for these drivers from viewcast is bttv-0.9.15 just want to know if this is the same version that is installed with suse 10.1 . I don't know of a way to see the version number of a kernel module short of looking at the kernel source code. But doing that seems to show that the version of bttv included in 2.6.16.21-0.13 is 0.9.16 The bt878 driver claims to be version 0x000000 so that's useless Oh, and I also see that the drivers print a message to the kernel log file when they get loaded, where they say which version they are --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
