[opensuse] Cannot have a working svn, compiled from sources, with http support
I have successfully compiled svn 1.6.2 with http support, but when I restart the apache server I get the following error: httpd2: Syntax error on line 116 of /etc/apache2/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 33 of /etc/apache2/sysconfig.d/loadmodule.conf: Cannot load /usr/lib64/apache2/mod_dav_svn.so into server: /usr/lib64/apache2/mod_dav_svn.so: undefined symbol: svn_log__update Could anyone tell me what should I do to have a working svn ? I use openSuSE 11.1 on 64 bits. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

You dont need to recompile SVN to get the latest version, do this # zypper ar -r http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Subversion/openSUSE_11.1/Subversio... #zypper ref #zypper up -- "If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed" -George Carlin (1937-2008) Cristian Rodríguez R. Thanks for the tip. Now I have no problems running svn. Still, could someone tell me what changes have been made to the original sources of svn 1.6.2 ? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hi: Changes to the original svn sources can be found in the source rpm # zypper source-install subversion However, the problem you initially exposed, has _nothing_ to do with this, is just you didnt recompiled/relinked everything properly. -- "If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed" -George Carlin (1937-2008) Cristian Rodríguez R.
