When I switch from xp to Linux with the KVM my mouse behavior on the Linux box is completely wasted. Everything jumps around and the mouse goes nuts. Completely unusable.
I have been doing some reading that says that I should make sure I don't have more then 1 mouse driver loaded. How can I check this In Suse?
Has anyone else had similar problems. If so what did you do to rectify them.
The mouse is the USB version going through the USB -> ps2 adapter that came with the mouse.
How does the mouse behave if you boot Linux with the mouse attached.
I've had this kind of trouble with a Belkin KVM, switching between PCs running Win98. When I spoke to Belkin, they claimed it was a grounding problem between KVM and PC. They sent us some new leads with GND disconnected, which seemsed to work okay. Nope, I didn't expect it to work either, but it seemed to. Might be worth giving Belkin a call. Arthur

arthur- wath do you mean by "leads"? thanks- larry
He means the cabling that goes between the KVM switch and the PCs. OBTW when he says "grounding Problems" you may know that as 'electrical earthing problems' PeterB On Thursday 03 July 2003 06:46 pm, larry wrote:

I just switched the driver to Microsoft ps2. Solved the problem (alas I lost wheel support) No my mouse is weird in windows. Its slow and unresponsive. I have to plug it directly into the computer to get it to work.
