Apparently there is no rpm entry in the info system. If you go to the top of the search tree and do /rpm you'll find, that this string is matched by rpmatch() and that is the page you get. Best regards, -- Jos van Kan www.josvankan.tk

That's not what I'm getting. Previously, if I typed "pinfo something", and the info page did not exist, I got the man page instead, or not found. What I get now for "info rpm" is "Node: Yes-or-No Questions" of "File: libc.info". It is chapter "7.8" of "The GNU C Library Reference Manual". That is not related to rpm at all! And in some pages, it crashes. The index is broken. :-/ -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson

No not to rpm, but to rpmatch. So apparently it gives you the closest match. Not what you would expect or like to have.

Not the index, the algorithm. Probably they replaced some known error by an unknown one. Oh well, that's the price for progress. :-) Best regards, -- Jos van Kan www.josvankan.tk

I'm not getting the info on rpmatch, but on "libc". Read again. As there is no info page for "rpm", it should instead give me the man page. It should not search for any page containing the word rpm somewhere on it, that was not requested: find it, or "return not found".
And in some pages, it crashes.

Both info and pinfo crash when viewing "File: find.info, Node: Primary Index". Ok, who do we report this bug to, to feedback? -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
