Hi, I downloaded the tiff installation source (tiff-v3.4-tar.gz) and I was trying to install. After the ./configure command I tried the make command. And I am getting the following error: Makefile:4: *** missing separator. Stop Any pointers to resolve the same. I tried with SUSE 9.0 and SLES 8. Thanks in advance. Sethu

Thanks in advance. This is a very simple and common error with makefiles. A target and action in a makefile is: target : dependencies <tab>action...
You will get this error if you have spaces instead of a tab in the
makefile. Somehow, there is an erroneous action line.
BTW: The Tiff library and tools are on the SuSE 9.0 professional CD. I
don't know about the personal version. As someone else mentioned, you
should use the RPM version if it is available.
