Depends on what shell you choose. Normally the prompts in terminal
emulations and console are the same, as they use what's defined for PS1
in the profile.
My favourite is "[\h:\w]", which gives you a prompt like
[jeffreys:~]
If you want to change it inside the terminal emulation, just do
something like 'export PS1="\h:\w >"'.
