Recommendation for exterior hard drive
Some people seem to have had some problems with exterior hard drives on 9.3 I finally got round to trying my Maxtor exterior on 9.3 last week. Perfect. It's USB and connected without any fuss and set up an icon on the desktop (KDE). It installs as sda1 All permissions are set up fine. I hope this is of some help to anybody who is thinking of getting an exterior drive. If anybody needs more information I am more than happy to post them up :-) -- Take care. I have such a 120G drive I use, was OK on 9.2 and now on 9.3, works perfectly and is used to backup critical files for all my Linux boxen. There were some kernel problems with USB drives a while back that may have been fixed in later kernels. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ...
