[opensuse] how to enable xdmcp?
Hello. I used to enable xdmcp because in my home office sometimes I access the host from other room and couldn't do this since I use opensuse 11.1 Problem being there seems to be no gdmsetup. It is not in /usr/sbin/gdmsetup and nor in /opt/gnome.../gdmsetup as it used to be. Did OpenSUSE 11.1 removed gdmsetup? How can I allow remote login then? P.S. I prefer not to use vnc because it feels slower. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Change the line: ,---- | DISPLAYMANAGER_REMOTE_ACCESS="no" `---- to "yes" in /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager Charles -- "Whip me. Beat me. Make me maintain AIX." (By Stephan Zielinski)

Doesn't work, even after reboot. Should I run some command to make /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager in effect? by doesn't work I mean the connection to X server times out when using X -query -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

perhaps SuSEconfig, and then, restart the display manager. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
