Folks, I tried upgrading to 7.3 (from 7.1) but I am getting an error with my megariad (AMI) when I try to install from the modules diskette: megaraid: v1.17a (Release Date: Fri Jul 13 18:44:01 EDT 2001) megaraid: no BIOS enabled aha152x: invalid module params io=0x340, irq=11, scsiid=7, reconnect=0, ... scsi: <fdomain> Detection failed (no card) The RAID c hipset is integrated on my mobo and it is working fine under w2k. It is essentially a PCI card. I don't know why linux says no BIOS enabled? Any ideas what is happening? Thanks, Babu __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Since you are doing an upgrade rather than a fresh install, it may be the
problem with the 7.1 installation. There was a knowledge base article on
the megaraid controller and 7.1:
http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/i2o_megaraid.html
As many people on this list have always suggested, unless there is a need
to perform an upgrade, a fresh new install is better. If you have data which
needs to be saved, then you can back it up and then restore it.
