Isn't SLES using a 2.4 kernel, and SATA support only arrived in 2.6 kernels? -- Pob hwyl / Best wishes Kevin Donnelly www.kyfieithu.co.uk - Meddalwedd Rhydd yn Gymraeg www.cymrux.org.uk - Linux Cymraeg ar un CD!

No, and No. Personally, I wish SLES 9 was still 2.4 based. It would make more sense, and things like SATA support have been back-ported to the most recent 2.4 kernels, so there would not be any major device support issues. Greg -- Greg Freemyer

What make/model of SATA is it? We need more info than this. Understand the difference between ignore and not supported. Perhaps you meant not supported.
