Those are very very much faster than a Pentium III 500 Mhz.

Same for this one. Note that a Quad-core CPU has 4 CPU cores, while Intel i3, i5 are dual core CPUs which have 2 CPU cores. To learn more about Processors look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_microprocessors#32-bit_processors... and here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_microprocessors#K7_core_architectur... That should load the page at the right place and go downthe page to see how these 2 manufacturers have moved forward with their chips. If you go up the page you will see older processors.
