That is interesting. I wonder if he didn't share Messman's "vision" or if he did and the board wanted another bean counter in his place and Messman is on the way out. I didn't realize they were in Mass. I thought Novell was in Provo Utah. -- kai - www.perfectreign.com www.livebeans.com - the new NetBeans community 43...for those who require slightly more than the answer to life, the universe and everything.

Juergen Geck has been with SUSE for almost 10 years and has been CTO of SUSE, not Novell!

Waltham was the HQ of Cambridge Technology Partners, the consulting company Novell bought years ago and Jack Messman was CTPs CEO. So when Jack became CEO of Novell, Waltham became the Novell HQ. Philipp

Okay, I didn't realize there was a difference. Thanks!

Oh, okay. Interesting turn of events. Of course, being that the company came out with that dreadful NetWare 4.0 downgrade from 3.12, I had given up on Novell about ten years ago. It is only since they acquired SuSE/SUSE that I've been paying attention to them again. -- kai - www.perfectreign.com www.livebeans.com - the new NetBeans community 43...for those who require slightly more than the answer to life, the universe and everything.

It takes a while for two companies from quite different cultures to properly merge with oneanother. If they ever do. I'm sure the people who came from SUSE will be known as the "SUSE-people" for quite some time, and same for the Novell-folks. /Per Jessen, Zürich -- http://www.spamchek.com/ - managed anti-spam and anti-virus solution.
