I'm a member. I suppose you have confirmed your subscription. :-) Have you tried to unsubscribe and subscribe again? Is this of any use ? https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-user -- Greetings from /bill at 169 west , 19 south. Yes . the welcome to list message follows that.

Yes twice already. Even send a mail to the announce list .. read if you have problem with the lists to do that. Not a reply yet.

I moved from Quicken-98 in win to gnucash . up to now it seem OK. It seems that gnucash is a good application. Would like to be able to see other users messages and learning by that. If this is succesful then I can be windoze free. I need to clarify some issuse which I cannot find in the help/tutotrial. Glad that you replied . maybe you know a way to get into contact with the list admin to settle my problem Thanks Regards -- Johan Sch Registered Linux User #33034 May this be a good day for learning

That was my last hurdle to get MS free as well. ( Long time ago!!!!!)
I first used Moneydance and it was allright but then it disappeared etc and I
went to Gnucash which is great.
It does everything I want and also the Gnucash list is really good.
Especially Derik Atkins. The reply to questions is so fast.
Try to email him to find out if something is wrong.

Aside from the fact that I don't understand 'moneydance disappeared' (I just logged onto their site) I am now curious about something: (1)When I last tried gnucash, I thought it worked great but there was one feature that was sadly lacking ...that of being able to import/export the data file in QIF format, be it loose or strict. Has that changed? (2)I, too, tried to get some sort of response to a couple questions and am still waiting for an answer roughly a year later. Good thing I didn't hold my breath. Apparently that *has* changed! :-) -- ...CH "The more they over-think the plumbing,

Moneydance disappeared for more then a year. It was discontinued by the comp who hosted it until the writer of that program started it up again. ( something like that) At that time I had a HDD crash and I needed Moneydance but couldn't get it so I went to Gnucash

I don't know when you tried Gnucash but-------- File --Import--Qif works perfect. I import my bankdetails all the time.

Very strange. Derik Atkins from the Gnucash list respond to almost every question and very fast as well. AAMOF the response normally is so fast that by hitting the send key the answer already comes in. :-) -- Greetings from /bill at 169 west , 19 south. I can certainly vouch for Derek. He is a long time member of the BLU and other Boston area user groups. I've never seen him give bad advice.

Hmmm. I haven't seen anything for a couple of days, either. I just assumed it was due to it being a weekend. Don Henson
