setting up pcmcia NIC on laptop

Do you have pcmcia-cs installed/working? If you have it installed you can use yast to enable it. IIRC, system administration -> modify configuration file -> start_pcmcia. set it to "yes" or you can hand edit rc.config. You can also select pcmcia as the type of network adapter in yast. I understand that yast2 has more support for pcmcia networks. Also check out http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net/ftp/doc/PCMCIA-HOWTO.html
It's a CN40BC/BT
It should use the pcnet_cs driver (which should be automatically detected). Good luck, Tim
