Microsoft Keyboard macros for Linux
I bought this Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse combo a couple months ago. The keyboard, which is the 'natural' style, has all these useless function keys like music, internet, logoff, suspend, volume up and down, email, etc.... I didn't buy it for the special keys but rather for the wireless and natural form factor. I took the CD that had the macros and placed them in my drawer since I was never going to use it. Well, I'm wondering if there is some way to get those macros, or special keys, to work in Linux? It would be kind of cool to associate them with Linux apps. Anyone have any ideas? Anyway, I'm sure this is a long shot, but what the heck...email is free. Tom - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Tom Nielsen Neuro Logic Systems, Inc. 805.389.5435 x18 www.neuro-logic.com

I have used these to configure my logitech keyboards extrakeys... I can't remember / check whether they support MS kyeboards too, since I am at the office allready... Jerukey(http://jerukey.sourceforge.net/) Linux Easy Access Keyboard (http://lineak.sourceforge.net/). P_s
Whoa! I didn't think I was going to get anything. Thanks!! I'll try it out tomorrow...also, it does appear to work with MS keyboards. Tom On Tue, 2003-06-03 at 21:53, p_s wrote:

This looks interesting, but I can't read German. While at CeBIT I managed to speak a little, but not that much. Do you have an english webpage? Tom On Tue, 2003-06-03 at 22:48, Frederik Vos wrote:
