Hi.... Is there a SuSE 7.1 iso out there somewhere? Otherwise, which files do I need to download for a small or standard installation so that I can create my own iso. I guess all packages don't fit in one cd ;-) Another thing would be, can I replace the old rpm's with the new updated ones so that I don't have to update it. Easier that way if you only have a modem or something ;-) You don't wan't to end up like with windowsupdate.microsoft.com ;-) thanks alex
Greetings, A great source for linux ISOs (SuSE et al) is www.linuxiso.org. You should be able to find what you are looking for here. ph. -----Original Message----- From: Alexander Ståhlberg [mailto:lawson@home.se] Sent: Tuesday, May 08, 2001 7:57 AM To: Suse Subject: [SLE] SuSE 7.1 iso? I managed to download base packages and some other stuff and burn it on a bootable cd. Although when installation is about to start it complains about cd1 has to be in the drive. Is it possible to get around this? alex ----- Original Message ----- From: Alexander Ståhlberg To: Suse Sent: Tuesday, May 08, 2001 2:57 PM Subject: [SLE] SuSE 7.1 iso? Hi.... You need to create some special info files on the CDs. Before you go through all this trouble, I would rather recommend you to grab the ISOs of the Japanese Version on ftp.suse.com - it can be installed in other languages like english as well.
