Hi! I have just recently installed icewm on my laptop to disc÷ver it looks and feels great on it. I only have one problem - I cannot find any tool to configure and than save icewm (or any sample config files) - are there any (can anyone send me his/her own? Another thing is I am new to laptops and have just upgraded the stock suse 6.2 eide kernel to 2.2.14 and to my suprise there was (off course) no pcmcia included (I know it's a separate package - now ;)) and I dont know what to do - do I just manually recompile the source or is there an rpm of pcmcia for kernel 2.214 available somewhere? THX in advance! You need a ~/.icewm/ directory with a preferences file (mkdir ~/.icewm ; touch ~/.icewm/preferences). Then you can use icepref (a seperate RPM) to configure the look/feel/actions of the window manager's environment. Check freshmeat.net for menu tools (I saw one the other day).

If I'm not mistaken (which I often am ;), you can mount the source CD (can't remember which; 5 or 6) and issue `rpm --rebuild /cdrom/suse/zq?/pcmcia.spm' to get the SuSE sources rebuilt for the 2.2.14 kernel. -- -=|JP|=- Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions -o) jpennington@atipa.com | Kansas City, MO /\\ 816-241-2641 x107 | http://www.atipa.com _\_V -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
