[opensuse] removing widgets and panel in kde4
Hello: Who was that genius who decided to put 'remove this panel' and 'remove this icon/applet from panel' next to (beneath/above) each other? If you click accidently to remove panel instead of remove applet than you have to start over building up the panel. Congratulation kde team! Does it not ask whether you really want to remove it? Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Yeah, it probably does; aren't at home to check it, but i mean when you empty your trash can, do you read the message? Most people just click Yes or No because they now what it is... If it asks you whether to remove the panel and you click "yes", you cannot blame anybody but yourself. Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Using kde4 from oS 11.1 DVD. Even if it asks I think these two things should be 'separated' more. Personally I prefer kde3 way, when settings are done in a separated settings window, not by simple right click actions. Don't feel bad, I blew my panel away as well in exactly the same way, and if I recall correctly, Immediately posted a similar post to the list ;-) It all goes back to usability and common-sense in a desktop design. It takes a true numbskull to put those two functions immediately next to each other. But, look on the bright side, now you get to learn how to re-add a complete panel in kde4. The placement of the commands is actually a feature of kde4's embedded tutorial system. There are more were that came from... -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. FWIW Remove this panel has been moved into a submenu in KDE 4.2 Will -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
