Could someone clarify for me if the latest kernel release for 8.0 is giving any issues? I've had 2 deadlock ups since I installed it. It's behaving a lot like 8.1 did when it had an AMD southbridge bug. Did something creep into the 2.4.18 release for 8.0 that behaves the same? This is why I didn't install 8.1 after it was said to have been fixed.. I didn't want to take the chance. :/ -- Ben Rosenberg ---===---===---===--- mailto:ben@whack.org Tell me what you believe.. I'll tell you what you should see.

Running a vanilla 2.4.20 kernel here on an AMD Athlon 800mhz with no problems. Give it a whirl. SuSE 8.0 But for that matter I have an Athlon 900mhz that was upgraded to 8.1 and is running the stock 2.4.19 kernel without problems either. -- +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ + Bruce S.
