[opensuse] CUPS server problem
Hi - I need a bit of guidance concerning the CUPs server. I have a network with a number of systems all running the CUPS daemon as clients on one system running the CUPS daemon as both a client and server. On all the systems except the server I can bring up the CUPS configuration info, in Firefox, at localhost:631 but on the server I get a 404 Not Found error. I KNOW the CUPS daemon is running on the server since I can print from any system just fine, and I can see the cupsd process running when I do a ps aux and look for it. I also KNOW that port 631 is open in the firewall. I have checked installed packages, and it does not look like I am missing any for CUPS. So what gives? Why won't my CUPS daemon on my server display its configuration web page (or for that matter access any of the CUPS documents that should be reachable via its web interface?) You also have to tell cupsd to respond to outside requests. YaST can do that for you. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
