Houghi, the version of mSd that was available when SUSE 10.0 was out (or was it 9.3) caused the DVD to be displayed incorrectly in YaST Installation Sources list as SUSE CD 1. Is this bug corrected? I was thinking to add the non-oss iso just like the 10.1 iso's. Or do I just copy the *.rpm's as you explained to Shriramana Sharma, and then add them to the DVD iso with your script like below?

Alternatively, I would like to know how to extract the files and add it to a SUSE DVD I make using Houghi's script.
As root 'mount -o loop file.iso /mnt' Then as user copy the rpm files you like to another directory. I use /usr/src/package/RPMS/*
Next `makeSUSEdvd -a /usr/src/package/RPMS/` and you have the DVD.

Just add the iso. That way you can add other RPM's as wel. houghi -- Nutze die Zeit. Sie ist das Kostbarste, was wir haben, denn es ist unwiederbringliche Lebenszeit. Leben ist aber mehr als Werk und Arbeit, und das Sein wichtiger als das Tun - Johannes Müller-Elmau
Hi, I just tried to make the DVD for 10.1 with the new makeSUSEdvd 0.30. I think everything went fine when I put these ISOs: SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-i386-CD1.iso SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-i386-CD2.iso SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-i386-CD3.iso SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-i386-CD4.iso SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-i386-CD5.iso SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-Addon-Biarch.iso into one DVD-ISO: SUSE-10.1-0-DVD.iso after calculating the MD5SUMS, it says, that some filenames are to long and it uses other filenames. That is then most likely not a makeSUSEdvd issue, but a create_package_descr issue. When the MD5SUM is being made, the files are already copied, so no issue there. So if somebody who knows either perl or create_package_descr or both, perhaps (s)he can shed a light on this. houghi -- Nutze die Zeit. For me this looks like a mkisofs issue. The file name is about 50 chars long, which violates iso.9660 version 1. You could try "-iso-level 4". Ciao Siegbert

Yes. And if you have a directory with your personal RPMs, you can add that with -a /dir/to/RPMS. I always place my roms in /usr/src/packages/RPMS/ and then in the subdirectories. Either by downloading or by rpmbuild or by checkinstall, that is the standard default directory. That way I have a 10.1 DVD at this moment that not only holds the 5CD's, it also holds e.g. MPlayer and libdvdcss and codecs and whatever I can lay my hands on and the CD 6. I am currently trying to figure out how to make a *.sel file that can be recognised during the installation, so that you are able to easily select those things. And it now also has some other nice features I was just starting to put in opensuse.org when the server went down. (So it was my fault?) houghi -- Nutze die Zeit. heh? I just wanted to download your newest script (12h51 CET) from your website, to another system, and it was gone. Are you working on it with new features and the *.sel? I could wait till you're finished with v 1.0 to test it. I got a copy of yesterday's 0.30. This weekend I will do 3 systems; two i386 and one x86_64. :-) Al
