Re: [SLE] PCMCIA module loading - SOLVED
I upgraded with the RPM from the updates section of the SuSE site. I was going to compile last night to see if it made any difference, but I can't find the sources for the pcmcia module that SuSE put up on the site for the 2.4.16 kernel. I also have source code from the manufacturer of my wireless card that I tried to compile against an earlier version of the pcmcia source that originally came with the distro (7.1) but it won't compile; I think that the PCMCIA version may be a couple of minor revs too early. -ronc On Saturday 09 February 2002 04:25 am, you wrote:
Did you ever figure out what happened to your orinoco_cs driver? I am running that same driver right now, and I don't want to fall back on the older wvlan driver if possible.
Did you upgrade the kernel with an rpm or compile?
Thanks, Keith

I fixed the problem with the orinoco_cs driver by changing the module specification for the Wireless card to wvlan_cs instead. That driver seems to work. I also managed to learn how to mount the NFS drives properly under PCMCIA network configuration, so I fixed two problems!
