schematic capture and PCB artwork on SuSE 10?
Hi all, Anyone doing schematic capture and PCB artwork on SuSE 10? I was wondering what programs you use. SuSE has PCB but I can't find any schematic capture software on the DVD. I can probably download the gEDA stuff. Is that the best option at this point? This will be used for hobby electronics - nothing too serious. -- Marc Christensen http://www.mecworks.com http://blog.mecworks.com http://gallery.mecworks.com

Check out Eagle at http://cadsoft.de/ . The free version even has an autorouter. SUSE used to include it on the DVD, but I guess they removed it to free some space. -- James Oakley Engineering - SolutionInc Ltd. joakley@solutioninc.com http://www.solutioninc.com

gEDA is certainly interesting. I haven't checked on them for some time, though. - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQFDfNMAtTMYHG2NR9URAv99AKCByUv7hO4l6hLWGAqnraPY8NPsJQCdHcgF l2myRwIlMvsp3R7ckHKi9gM= =7WAe -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
