Re: [SLE] epson ink level - SuSE-10 oss
Anyone managed to check epson ink level using the kde printing manager. Seems to require raw mode, but then you can't specify a printer driver! mtink compiles but doesn't run, kink won't compile.
Geoff
As a follow-up, after installing libinklevel (http://libinklevel.sourceforge.net/index.html) I configured kink correctly but then got the following nasty error when running make... \/usr/lib/qt3/include/private/qucomextra_p.h:87: warning: struct QUType_varptr has virtual functions but non-virtual destructor kink.cpp: In member function void KInk::add_device_to_list(int, int, unsigned char*): kink.cpp:159: error: invalid conversion from unsigned char* to const char* make[2]: *** [kink.o] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/kai/downloads/kink-0.2.1/kink-0.2.1/kink' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/kai/downloads/kink-0.2.1/kink-0.2.1' make: *** [all] Error 2 -- kai ponte www.perfectreign.com linux - genuine windows replacement part

<snip> I got the same error. Went back and downloaded gmso and it works just fine (so long as one has all the necessarygnome stuff I imagine).

What version? I downloaded 0.9.2 and ran ./configure but then make gave me the error, "kai@yoda:~/downloads/gmso-0.9.2> make make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop." Wierd. -- kai www.perfectreign.com linux - genuine windows replacement part

Yes, I get this too. Is it gcc4 being picky again? Needs a programmer to solve as kink doesn't seem to have been updated since 2003. But my question still is "how to use the inbuilt kde printing manager ink level utility?" Geoff
