Hi, SuSErs :) ~ great little personal accounts program is MoneyDance . . . it runs fine on my SuSE 6.2 distro On another partition, I am trying Debian Linux, but, something is not quite right and MoneyDance gives the following protest:- .............................................................. /usr/lib/jre1.1.7/bin/jre -cp /usr/local/moneydance/swingall.jar:/usr/local/moneydance/license.jar:/usr/local/moneydance/moneydance.jar: Moneydance Cannot open /proc/01225 for GCCould not create Java VM ............................................................. Any clues, please, what the problem might be ? Thanks best wishes, Richard ____________ sent on Linux ____________
I would get the newest version if you do not have it. It comes with a JRE that installs in the same directory that Moneydance installs into. It also has a readme that tells you where to put the symlink to the executable for Moneydance. You shouldn't have to type all that out...should just have to type moneydance at a prompt or make an icon link to the moneydance executable. * tabanna (tabanna@aig.forthnet.gr) [020216 12:14]: -> -> Hi, SuSErs :) -> -> ~ great little personal accounts program is MoneyDance -> . . . it runs fine on my SuSE 6.2 distro -> -> On another partition, I am trying Debian Linux, but, something ->is not quite right and MoneyDance gives the following protest:- -> ->.............................................................. ->/usr/lib/jre1.1.7/bin/jre -cp ->/usr/local/moneydance/swingall.jar:/usr/local/moneydance/license.jar:/usr/local/moneydance/moneydance.jar: ->Moneydance ->Cannot open /proc/01225 for GCCould not create Java VM ->............................................................. -> -> Any clues, please, what the problem might be ? -----=====-----=====-----=====-----=====----- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org -----=====-----=====-----=====-----=====----- "I've never been quarantined. ~ thanks, Ben . . . I'll have a try. I wondered , if, "Cannot open /proc/01225 for GCCould not create Java VM" might, perhaps, be a 'permissions' problem { but prolly not } best wishes ____________ sent on Linux ____________

I would just try the current version ..if that doesn't work we can go from there. -----=====-----=====-----=====-----=====----- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org -----=====-----=====-----=====-----=====----- "I've never been quarantined.
