Hi, you can try this: - before you do su, do "xhost +localhost" - then just su. -- Verdi March -- On Monday 08 April 2002 03:54 am, you wrote:
Well, after I updated to the newest fileutils, 2.4.16 kernel build and install the kernel srcs to go with them. sux no longer works. Wanna take a stab at why? ;)

Thanks. I do appreciate the effort. But the question was why doesn't the script 'sux' work anymore after the updates. If you normally type sux it will su you to root with privileges to run X programs without exporting the display. :) This is what has me baffled. ;) * Cincai Patron (cincaipatron@yahoo.com) [020407 19:07]: ::Hi, ::you can try this: ::- before you do su, do "xhost +localhost" ::- then just su. :: -=Ben --=====-----=====-- mailto:ben@whack.org --=====-- "I've never been quarantined.
